Business Case
- The company had to train shop-floor trainers on Structured On the Job Training (SOJT).
- The training had to be conducted without disrupting the work schedule of the participants.
- The company needed someone to design & develop ‘Train the Trainer’ Computer Based Training (CBT) on SOJT from an existing Instructor Led Training (ILT) course.
The objective of training was to improve sales through reduction of defects injected into an automobile production cycle.
Solution
Since the training material was complex & software-based, the training had to be such as it could engage real-life scenarios & examples to help learners input data into the application
- Aptech created highly-interactive CBT to keep the learner engaged with the complex learning environment. The CBT mode also helped learners attend the training program without disrupting their work environment & production schedule.
- Training is more effective when the learner is seeing & doing, hence the CBT offered an ideal learning experience as the learners could watch a demonstration of the job, and then perform it with guidance from the SOJT Trainer.
- The training program included a labyrinth and narrative to make learning more engaging & effective.
